Due to various state laws, we can only ship wine to AL, AK, AZ, CA, CO, FL, ID, KS, LA, MI, ME, MN, MT, NC, NV, NY, NM, OH, OK, OR, PA, SD, TN, TX, and WA. We ship all wine orders 5 days a week.
Weather conditions (whether it is extreme heat or freezing temperatures) across the US certainly create challenges for shipping wine. When temperatures while in transit could adversely affect your wine order, Wise Villa Winery will suggest several weather safe options for you. These options are presented in the final stage of the shopping cart before you place your order.
Remember, this also applies to transporting wine in your car. A hot car can damage wine rather quickly, but not all wines react the same way to temperature. When wine is left in a hot car, the wine goes through chemical reactions that change the way the wine tastes. Wine is a living, breathing thing that evolves every day in the bottle. Be wary if it’s kept in temperatures above 75˚F for more than a few days. Above 80˚F, that wine is at risk with each passing hour.
Customers must be at least 21 years of age or old to order our wine. Shipping recipients must also be 21 years of age. Signatures and valid ID are required from the shipping recipient.
receiving a shipment
If the recipient of the wine will not be at home during regular business hours, we highly recommend sending the order to a commercial or business address where the package can be received and signed for. Orders containing alcohol cannot be left on a doorstep, sent to a P.O. Box, or left with someone who is visibly intoxicated. If no one is available for delivery, two additional attempts will generally be made. If the package is never received or picked up and then returned to us, there will be an additional shipping charge to resend the package.
